I spend my weekdays keeping other people's networks alive, which mostly means turning things off and back on with more confidence than the situation deserves. Weekends are for the garage, where the real debugging happens — G-code this time, not group policy.
Somewhere between a helpdesk ticket and a barbell, I became the guy who can explain both subnet masks and speeds-and-feeds at the dinner table, whether anyone asked or not. My kids have accepted this. My wife tolerates it. The dog is neutral.
